The Yaesu FT2000 is a great rig.
Featuring exceptional ergonomics and solid function, I estimate at least 25,000 of the FT2000 and daughter FT950 rigs were sold in the production lifetime making it one of Yaesu's most successful products.
Even now they represent an excellent price point for dual independent receiver rigs.
The links (left side of page) document some of my experiments, modifications and other topics of personal interest with the FT2K over the years of my continuing ownership of the radio. While most are complete, a few are still waiting for bench time - someday down the road...
